Deep Read Press Submission Guidelines
Deep Read Press will consider manuscripts of 40,000 to 120,000 words. We offer small advances, and we pay standard royalties. All our books are available online and in select bookstores.
We are especially interested in local history, true crime, and Americana, but we will consider other genres as well.
We will NEVER consider previously published works, hate speech, political commentary, poetry, textbooks, coffee table books, picture books, comic books, workbooks, memoirs, autobiographies, stage plays, movie scripts, calendars, works in the public domain, works created with Artificial Intelligence, erotica, or pornography.
Please DO NOT submit works that have been previously published elsewhere, in any venue. This includes all forms of digital self-publishing. Please make only one submission to us at a time. Please email us a brief synopsis and the first three chapters of your manuscript. Do not email a complete manuscript unless we ask to see it. Please email all materials together at one time. Make sure your submission is in Microsoft Word or PDF format and is emailed to us as an attachment. We prefer Times New Roman or Georgia fonts. Email your submission to [email protected].
Failure to follow the above guidelines will result in your manuscript being rejected.
Due to the number of submissions we receive, it may take several weeks for us to make a final decision regarding your manuscript.
